• The City of Dessie in Wollo, Ethiopia
  Dassie is a multi-ethnic city located in the north-centeral part of Ethiopia on the road from Addice Ababa to Mekele in the South Wollo administrative Zone.
• Borkena Revier in Dessie, Wollo
  This is the Borkena Revier gorge in Dessie, Wollo. Borkana river is a river in north-central Ethiopia which is a downstream of Dassie and Kombolcha towns. A tributary of the Awash river, the Borkana joins its parent stream in Tshaffa at town of Harbu.
• The Lake Hayq in Wollo, Ethiopia
  Lake Hayq lies two kilometers east of Hayq city which is the home of Istifanos Monastery, an important landmark in Ethiopian Church history. The Lake is located 30 kilometers north of Dessie in the Tehuledere woreda of the South-Wollo Zone.
• Saint Georg Cherch in Lalibela, Wollo
  The Church of Saint George is one of eleven rock-hewn monolithic churches in Lalibela, a city in Lasta district, Wollo. of Ethiopia. Originally named Roha, the historical and religious site was named Lalibela after the King Gebre Mesqel Lalibela of the Zagwe dynasty, who commissioned its construction. The Church of Saint George was carved downwards from a type of volcanic tuff. This is the sole architectural material that was used in the structure. It has been dated to the late 12th or early 13th century AD, and thought to have been constructed during the reign of King Gebre Mesqel Lalibela, of the late Zagwe dynasty. It is among the best known and last built of the eleven churches in the Lalibela area, and has been referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World..

We also like to acknowledge and appreciate all members of Wollo Developmen Assocation and those who passionately concerned and donated additional money from their pocket to show our expatriate family that we are faraway but we can hear you and feel your discomfort!! We know that this donation is not enough, however, showing our passionate and concern is very important to our beloved Ethiopian people regardless of their religion, race, or political view. As you may see the pictures shows on this page are our people whom we supported during their difficult times and you all should be proud of for your excellent humanitarian support…but they still need their private permanent place to live.

በዚሕ አጋጣሚ ይኸንን ለወገን ደራራሽ ወገን ነዉ ብለው ተነሣሥተው ለተፈናቀሉት ወገኖቻችንን በተቻላቸዉ መጠን ተደራጅተዉ አደራጅተዉ ለረዱት በወሎ አካባቢ ላሉ ወጣቶች በሙሉ የከበረ ምሥጋና እና ከበሬታችን በጣም ከፍ ያለ ነዉ። ላደረጋችሁትም ሆነ ለወደፊትም ለምታደርጉት እርዳታ ወገንም ወዳጅም ጠንቅቀዉ ያዉቃሉ እና የዜግነት ግደታችሑን በመሥራታችሁ ደግመን እናመሠግናለን።

የዚሕ አይነቱን መልካም ተግባር በማሣየታችሁ ለሌሎቹም ወጣቶች፤ የአገር ተረካቢዋች፤ መሪወች እንደምትሆኑ ጥርጥር የለዉም።

From the start to finish, your hard work and commitment is apricated by the people who are displaced and other concerned people around the world. Thank you so much for participating in the Salutes to Excellence program that you initiated and organized the local youth to support our people who were forced and displaced from their natural living locations to Kobo and nearby cities. We believe your support was a successful event, thanks in the largest part to the volunteers who kept everything running smoothly.
